Background:

The Ibizan Hound has been around for thousands of years working with hunters in pursuing and hunting rabbits.  This is a 'racy' breed built with sleek lines and power to accentuate his speed and desire in the hunt.  The Ibizan requires a lot of exercise and does not make a good house dog for city dwellers.

Personality:

They make excellent family dogs given enough exercise.  They are friendly and loving with the family and aloof with strangers.  An ideal setting for this breed would be a farmhouse with a large fenced in area to run in.
