Background:
The Polish Lowland Sheepdog, also known as the Polski Owczrek Nizinny (PON),
is the newest breed to be admitted to the miscellaneous class of the AKC.
Bred originally as a herding dog, this breed has now become more of a companion
dog. Covered by a thick, shaggy coat, this dog is a well balanced working
dog first, and foremost.
Personality:
A tranquil breed, this dog adapts well to living with children. Its
abundant coat needs regular care for its upkeep and it requires some exercise on
a regular basis.
