Background:

A native French breed, the French Bulldog has some English Bulldog in its ancestry.  A small, solidly built dog, this dog was bred primarily as a pet.  One of the most distinctive features of this breed is the large bat ears.  Due to their alert nature, these make good alarm dogs.  They are very lovable and docile with adult and child alike.
