Background:
The Gordon Setter is a dog of very distinguished bearing with a willing
attitude. Reputedly developed by the Duke of Gordon in the late 17th
century, the Gordon Setter is a more robust dog than the English and the Irish
Setter. It is also not quite as agile as the other lighter setter
breeds. It is however, indefatigable in the field, performing well as a
gundog.
Personality:
The Gordon Setter possesses a pleasant personality with a dash of courage and
verve thrown in. I will stand up for its family when needed and this
quality helps it perform well as a guardian of the household also.
