Background:
A breed with a very unique appearance, the Bedlington Terrier looks very much
like a wooly lamb. However, the purpose of the breed was to serve as a
ratter among mines in England. Over the last few decades, using selective
breeding, breeders have actually changed this breed from an aggressive,
pugnacious breed to an affectionate, devoted dog.
Personality:
An affectionate, likeable dog, the Bedlington has gained popularity both for
its looks and its adorable character. They do adapt well to apartment life
and enjoy life, satisfied with an occasional walk and run in the park. The
coat for this breed does require regular maintenance and grooming.
