Background:
The Kerry Blue Terrier was developed in the Kerry county of Ireland in the
1700s. Used varyingly as a hunter, retriever, shepherd, guard dog and
companion, this dog is versatile in its function. This dog requires weekly
brushings and a scissor trim grooming at least twice a year.
Personality:
An intelligent, affectionate trainable dog, the Kerry Blue Terrier has a
stubborn streak and needs a firm master to keep it in line. It takes well
to life in the country or in an apartment in the city. This breed also
serves as a good alarm dog.
