Background:
The Lakeland Terrier was developed in 19th century Northern England to hunt
vermin and small animals. A dog of square build and narrow body, it is
very good at going to ground after its quarry, following it into caves and
crevices when necessary to flush and capture the quarry. This dog, because
of its good nature and adaptability, makes an excellent companion in the city,
with its limited space or the country with wide open spaces. The coat of
the Lakeland needs regular care everyday.
Personality:
The Lakeland Terrier is a self assured dog that is not shy be nature.
It is rather inquisitive at times and unafraid of new things or unfamiliar
