Background:
The Miniature Schnauzer was bred from its larger cousin, the Standard
Schnauzer with Poodle and Affenpinscher, for the purpose of going to ground
after vermin and small animals. Despite its small size, the Miniature
Schnauzer is a compactly muscled dog bred for a functional purpose and this is
evident in his structure, attitude and disposition. This breed is alert,
energetic and tireless. Because of its size and disposition, this makes an
ideal companion for apartment dwellers with outdoor weekend plans. This
breed needs grooming and brushing on a regular basis.
Personality:
The Miniature Schnauzer is a friendly, alert dog at home. This dog is
an excellent alarm dog and a vigilant mouser. This dog is definitely a
great companion and friend at home.
