Background:

The Brussels Griffon is a lot of dog packed into a small body.  A dog with a short body and a smart carriage, this toy breed is a pleasurable companion for the whole family.  Descended from terriers, this breed shows its terrier temperament by fiercely guarding the house against intruders.  The breed has two varieties based on the length of the coat - Rough and Smooth coats.

A lively, enthusiastic dog, the Brussels Griffon is a companion without compare.  Ideally suited for apartment life, this also doubles as a watchdog with its highly protective instincts.  The coat of this breed requires regular maintenance.
