Background:

The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the world.  A native of Mexico and named after a Mexican province, the Chihuahua comes in two coat types - The Smooth Coated Chihuahua and the Long Coated Chihuahua.  Surprisingly enough, this tiny dog will not hesitate to pick a fight with a larger breed, preferring other Chihuahuas to dogs of any other breed.  Not particularly tolerant or cold weather or unruly children, the Chihuahua requires some special care in raising it.

Personality:

A lively, courageous dog, this is sometimes an aggressive breed due to its willingness to take offense quickly with other animals.  A good pet and watchdog in an apartment, it requires care in winter as it is very susceptible to the cold.
