Background:
The Komondor or Komondorok as it is sometimes refered to, is an unusual
looking dog whose coat is completely corded. This breed descended from
Tibetan dogs brought to Hungary several hundred years ago. Bred as a
sheepdog, the Komondor is a no-nonsense dog that will not hesitate to challenge
a wolf threatening the livestock or a stranger lurking around the
homestead. It stands up to cold weather very well, and can willingly work
even under appalling weather conditions.
Personality:
Definitely not a housedog, this breed is meant for the outdoors. The
coat is unique in that it must not be brushed, but separated into cords.
